The World Celebrates Rabbi Marcia Prager

Rabbi Marcia Prager, an inspirational Jewish Renewal spiritual leader, teacher, guide, and colleague, has become a model for a new generation of lay and professional leadership. Through her, many of us have forged an intimate, passionate relationship with Judaism, with the divine in all of us, and thus, with each other.

The P'nai Or Philadelphia Jewish Renewal community is grateful that in 5772 (2011) R. Marcia celebrated 18 years of serving as our Rabbi-Chaver. In her honor, friends from around the world shared these many stories, poems, and loving tributes, to show our gratitude and naches at this wonderful milestone!

Providing a Model for the Heart of Torah

The Schreiber family - Elisa, Michael, Andrew and Robert and Dale are wishing Reb Marcia great fulfillment in all the worlds she travels.

Smicha Week 2008

I have so many Reb Marcia moments imprinted in my heart.  One in particular is the manner in which she gently and without judgment helps a person find the reality behind their action, leadership, or direction.  Her presence, witnessing, and exploration provided the model for the heart of Torah - not only how to talk so people will listen, but how to be a sacred channel for transformation.   How to explore the chatat, aveira, and - Chas v'Shalom, the pesha in each of us.

I celebrate the Life in her journey and the spirit of her work and, with all the Schreibers, can not thank her enough for the ways she has inspired and touched my life and practice.
